Stalactites are named after similar occurrences of limestone deposits in cave formations. Stalactites are neither a limestone nor a cave formation. They are a tube agate that forms in the center of an Agate and/or Amethyst vug within a hydrothermal igneous formation. These flower stalactites are truly unique and one of a kind.
