I love a good Mortar and Pestle, I use them for making incense and grinding up all the ingredients to a fine powder. But the uses of a Mortar and Pestle are endless, making homemade pesto, your own spice blends, creating creamy guacamole, or grinding up nuts for a recipe. This is all about slow cooking, and really putting your intention into your food. Alchemy. I cannot emphasis how amazing it feels to use a heavy stone one. It grinds way better than wood or brass. It feels very ancestral to me.
